Provides Intervenor services to children and adults with deafblindness throughout New Brunswick. An Intervenor is hired to provide “one-on-one” interaction with the deafblind person in his/her community with regard to vocational, educational, social and recreational activities. The Intervenor is specially trained to meet the unique needs of the deafblind individual and follows an individualized service plan. Other services are family relief and consultation, camp experience for Deafblind persons, family support group and Intervenor services during the summer months to Deafblind children on PEI. CDBA-NB may also be contacted with questions about CHARGE syndrome, rubella and other conditions which can lead to deafblindness.
